Memory loss, magic, jealousy and intrigue...

Deciding what to entice readers with and what to leave out when writing a blurb is a challenging process! I'd be delighted if you let me know what you respond to in my blurb. #editing #querying #newfantasy #fantasywriter

Blurb for 'Storm' by Halla Williams

By the light of three moons, in the midst of a storm, Ashari falls from the sky. Found in the heart of a forest by a retired army captain, she has no memories and a voice that is too powerful to use. But nothing will hold her back when she learns what she can do.

Civil war is looming and Captain Tyril rides to summon her lieges’ former captain back to duty. But a discovery in the marsh will shake the foundations of the land she defends. Tyril must decide the fate of the nation and do what needs to be done, no matter the cost.

Former courtesan Gerna will use every wile she has learned to escape the future she fears. She’d like a peaceful life with a good man but Gerna has a dark past. That past will come back to haunt her.

Old enmities are coming to the boil and ancient forces, held in check for so long, are about to be unleashed. Magic is rising once more.
